Review: Making Money
For Making Money, Terry Pratchett brings back intrepid con-man-with-a-heart Moist von Lipwig, now charged by the Patrician to revamp the city’s monetary system.
If you’re a Terry Pratchett fan—and you really should be—Making Money is a definite must-read. Unfortunately, it’s not up to Pratchett’s usual standards. It’s an interesting—and timely—musing on the monetary system, but doesn’t bring the funny the way Pratchett has spoiled us in the past.
Making Money is a good, interesting read, but is a bit more somber than most Discworld novels. Not where you want to start if you’re new to the Discworld.
